Pastor Craig Nehring
Pastor Craig Nehring began serving Zion & Peace in September 2009.
Born and raised in Bloomer, WI, he graduated college from
UW-Superior in 2000 with a BS in History. He began Luther Seminary
in 2001, serving Faith & Ridgeland/Dallas UMC in Prairie Farm &
Ridgeland, WI from 2002-2005 and completed his internship at Bethel
& Bethany LC in Hawkins & Catawba, WI from 2006-2007. He graduated
seminary and was ordained in 2007. In 2008 he was called to Immanuel
LC in New Auburn, MN, serving there until August 2009.
He is married to Wendy, whom he met at college in South Dakota.
She is a graduate of Dakota Wesleyan University, and currently is
the Payroll Supervisor for Hoffmaster Group, Inc. in Oshkosh. They
have 2 dogs, Bart & Maggie and 1 cat, Lisa. You can find them most
weekends attending a college hockey game.
Pastor Craig's interests is in reading and studying Lutheran
theology, influenced deeply by Dr. James Nestingen and Dr. Steven
Paulson and the late Dr. Gerhard Forde. He is a member of the
WordAlone Network and Lutheran CORE.
Pastor Craig is currently enrolled in a Master's of Theology program with the Institute of Lutheran Theology.
In October 2011 Pastor Craig was elected to serve on the Executive Council of the Wisconsin/Upper Michigan Mission District of the NALC.
